In addition to running his own events, Malcolm speaks for marketing industry associations, in public seminars, forums and at private conferences. The MAD staff often get asked "Where's Malcolm?" so here's a few of the gigs he's spoken at recently.

Secrets of Experts Exposed Conference

In November, Dale Beaumont the publisher of the Secrets book series in which Malcolm wrote a chapter (Secrets of Marketing Experts Exposed) held a one day conference for all the contributors to the various books. It was a great opportunity for everyone to get to know each other and learn a few 'secrets' from their colleagues. Malcolm did a presentation on the future of e-mail marketing.

Fuji Xerox Premier Partners in Sydney

Continuing his 3 year involvement with the Fuji Xerox Premier Partners programme in Asia, Malcolm presented a short session on Questions to ask before starting a loyalty programme at the November conference in Cockle Bay, Sydney.

The event ran over two days with over 200 people attending from around Asia. All attendees to Malcolm's sessions received a complimentary copy of Secrets of Marketing Experts Exposed.

Australia’s First certificate of Business‑to‑Business Direct Marketing

A sold-out course of 35 delegates attended this Certificate Course specifically designed for the print, mail and publishing industries.

Held at the new Fuji Xerox epicenter at the Australian Technology Park in Sydney, the course was tutored by Malcolm Auld with guest presentations from a dozen industry specialists.

Renowned marketing Professor, Dr Ramzi Fayed presented the opening session and students received their certificates at an informal graduation ceremony over cocktails.

Hong Kong

Early in the year Malcolm went to Hong King to conduct training for Fuji Xerox clients and the local direct marketing industry along with a band of locally‑based presenters.

The presentations were titled: Success through innovative direct marketing...improving response rates for your campaigns and How digital printing will help you succeed in the e‑world. The industry event was so popular a new venue had to be found to hold the event as the first location wasn’t large enough.

Delegates received a personalised copy of Malcolm’s book Direct Marketing Made Easy printed on a Fuji Xerox iGen3 digital printer in Hong Kong.

The trip was a short three days and didn’t leave any time for that other crucial requirement — shopping.

 

South Australian Wine Country

In partnership with Australia Post, Malcolm designed a one‑day wine marketing training course for local wineries and bottle shops.

John Hancock and Cathy Allington also presented and the seminars were held in The Barossa Valley at Chateau Tanunda and at McLaren on the Lake, in McLaren Vale.

 

Rainmaker Marketing Symposium

Malcolm delivered a one hour presentation at the annual Rainmaker Marketing Symposium to CEO’s, CMO’s and over 100 senior executives. The presentation was titled Stepping up your DM campaign — Successful marketing strategies for financial services and held in the prestigious Stamford Hotel in Double Bay, Sydney.

 

Vero Expo

Malcolm presented in both Sydney and Melbourne for this year’s Vero Expo — a conference and trade show for selected insurance brokers. In the most recent event held at the Waterview Convention Centre at the Homebush Olympic site he presented a session titled Best Practice Direct Marketing which opened the eyes of local brokers on what’s possible with direct marketing and the internet.

Delegates received a copy of Secrets of Marketing Experts Exposed the most recent book in which Malcolm has written a chapter.

IPAC

IPAC Securities held its annual Summit for a couple of hundred financial planners at The Peppers Salt Resort in Kingscliff near Tweed Heads in northern NSW.

Malcolm’s keynote address was titled Marketing 101 — practical ideas you can implement today... and all delegates received a copy of Malcolm’s book Direct Marketing Made Easy.

APA

Malcolm was contracted by the Australian Publishing Association to conduct a one‑day e‑marketing seminar in Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide this year. The course is designed to give publishers hands‑on ideas and advice on how to use the internet to increase sales.

All delegates received a copy of Malcolm’s book Direct Marketing Made Easy.

Victorian Tourism Alliance

In May, Malcolm presented at the Victorian Tourism Alliance convention — a major event for government, industry and private operators to learn about tourism industry initiatives and trends, as well as a gain new ideas to develop their business.

His session was titled Why the world is rushing to direct marketing and covered the developments with digital print and online marketing.

ADMA

Malcolm continues his 20 year tradition of guest speaking at ADMA courses. In June he was one of the invited industry personnel to judge the student presentations in the ADMA Certificate of Direct and Digital Marketing in Sydney. He is also speaking at the weekend course in Sydney.
